What is the best gaming monitor for PS5 in 2024 that actually justifies the price tag? I have been sitting on about $800 that I saved up for my birthday next month and I really want to upgrade from my old 1080p office screen because it is honestly embarrassing playing a PS5 on this thing lol. I spent the last three nights reading threads on Reddit and watching YouTube reviews but I feel more confused now than when I started.

I keep seeing the LG C3 or C4 mentioned everywhere as the gold standard but honestly I dont have the space for a 42 inch TV on my desk and the 27 inch OLED monitors like the Asus ROG Swift ones are so expensive and I keep reading about text clarity being bad? I do some remote work on this same desk so I cant have the text looking all blurry or weird when I am checking emails or spreadsheets during the day. Then I saw the Gigabyte M28U and the Samsung Odyssey G7 but then people say the HDR on the Gigabyte is basically useless and just a marketing gimmick so whats the point of getting a 4K screen if the colors are gonna look washed out anyway?

I mainly play stuff like God of War, Elden Ring, and I am hyped for the new Dragon Age but I do jump into Warzone occasionally with my buddies so I need that 120Hz support via HDMI 2.1 which apparently not every monitor has even if they say they are 4K? It is so frustrating trying to figure out which ones actually have the full bandwidth for the PS5. I live in a pretty bright room too so maybe OLED isnt even the right choice because of reflections? I just want something that makes the games look incredible without me having to worry about burn-in or changing settings every five minutes. What are you guys using that actually feels like a true next-gen jump?...

> maybe OLED isnt even the right choice because of reflections? Unfortunately most 4K HDR is pretty underwhelming. I had issues with colors on cheaper sets but the Sony Inzone M9 27 inch 4K 144Hz is your best bet tho.
