I'm looking to build a new high-end gaming PC focused on smooth 4K performance. After deciding on an AMD build, I'm trying to determine the best AMD processor to pair with my RTX 4080 SUPER GPU specifically for 4K gaming.
The games I play most are open world, RPGs like The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Cyberpunk 2077. I want to max out settings and take advantage of 4K resolution while maintaining a minimum of 60fps, but preferably hitting high refresh rates ~100-144fps if possible.

For 4K gaming, I highly recommend the Ryzen 9 7950X3D.

The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is enough, and much cheaper than 7950x3d.
