Im losing my mind trying to pick a 240Hz monitor. I play mostly Valorant and Apex and my current 60Hz screen is just killing me, I feel like Im playing in slow motion. I have about 400 bucks to spend and need something by next weekend for a small tourney. Ive been looking at the Zowie XL2546K because of the DyAc feature but then I see the Alienware AW2523HF is way cheaper and everyone says the colors are better? Im stressing because I dont want to waste money on something that isnt actually better for frames. Is the Zowie worth the extra cash or should I just grab the Dell and save the rest? My desk is pretty tiny too so...

Regarding what #1 said about reliability, I sadly agree. I had issues with my BenQ Zowie XL2546K 24.5 inch 240Hz dying early. Honestly just get the Dell Alienware AW2523HF 24.5 inch 360Hz instead.

Honestly, if you are tight on space and budget, stop overthinking the Zowie tax. I switched to the LG UltraGear 27GN750-B 27-inch 240Hz IPS a while back and it handles motion clarity perfectly for Apex.

  • IPS panels look way better for everyday stuff
  • The stand footprint is actually manageable
  • Save that extra cash for a new mouse or pad Just grab something reliable and get some practice in before your tourney.

Honestly, I had a rough time with expensive gear recently. I spent way too much on a fancy display hoping for a pro experience, but unfortunately the panel had dead pixels after just a month. It was super frustrating.

  • Dont overspend for features you might not notice.
  • Reliability matters more than marketing gimmicks.
  • Smaller desks make large stands a total nightmare. My current setup is way cheaper and it honestly feels smoother anyway.
