Honestly if you want something that just works without any drama, look at the LG 27GR83B-B 27-inch Ultragear QHD 240Hz. I was in the same boat as you a while back, terrified of buying another monitor that ended up having terrible motion blur... I play a lot of CS and Val too and this thing is super clean. The ghosting youre seeing on your old screen is basically the pixels not changing colors fast enough to keep up with the frame rate, but this LG uses a really high quality Fast IPS panel that handles those fast swings perfectly.
