What MagSafe pucks are actually hitting the full 15W or higher these days? I've been using MFi certified gear for years but my new 15 Pro is barely moving on my old Belkin 3-in-1 pad and it's stressing me out since I leave for Tokyo next Tuesday. Is there anything faster than the standard Apple puck right now?

Just saw this! Wait, what power brick are you plugging that Belkin into? I just dealt with this before a big flight! I tested these:

  • Anker MagGo Wireless Charger 15W Qi2 Pad: Amazing! Hits 15W perfectly and is way cheaper. Love it!
  • Apple MagSafe Charger A2140: Fast but pricey and gets hotter than the Anker. Qi2 is the move for your Tokyo trip since it hits 15W!

> barely moving on my old Belkin 3-in-1 pad Honestly, I would suggest being careful with those older pads since heat can really mess with your battery health. If you want that full speed without worrying about frying your phone before Tokyo, just stick with Apple. Their stuff is designed to play nice with the software, and going with official Apple gear is usually the safest bet for consistent 15W charging. Don't want your battery cooked...

^ This. Also, heat is the absolute killer for charging speeds! I learned this the hard way last summer when I was trying to juice up my phone for a vlog shoot and the charging just stalled because the phone got way too toasty. If you want reliability for that Tokyo trip, you gotta check out the Satechi 3-in-1 Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand. It is amazing because it actually holds that 15W peak longer than my old puck did since the thermal management is fantastic! Plus it folds flat for your suitcase which is huge for travel. Quick tip: Use a 30W wall brick like the Anker 711 Nano II 30W USB-C Charger to feed the stand. Most 15W drops happen because the input power brick is too weak to handle the conversion loss!
