I just upgraded to a 15 Pro and honestly Im spiraling a bit looking at all these MagSafe things. My logic was to get the official Apple wallet but then I read a bunch of threads saying the magnets arent actually that strong and it falls off in pockets?? But then people say the cheap Amazon ones are even worse so I dont know what to believe. I really need something reliable for my commute in NYC because if I lose my ID on the subway Im screwed. Is a battery pack actually worth it too? I saw the Anker ones get hot but I only have like $100 for my whole setup so I cant buy everything... what are the actual essentials I wont regret buying??
I've been through a dozen setups over the years and honestly, safety is everything when you're in a city like NYC. A few years back I used a generic brand wallet and it popped off while I was running for the L train. Not fun. If you're worried about losing your ID, skip the cheap stuff. The Apple iPhone FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe is actually fine if you're not wearing super tight jeans, but for actual security, I swear by the ESR Magnetic Wallet (HaloLock) Stand. The magnets on that thing are brutal and it stays put. Quick tip tho... magnets are only as good as your case. If you're using a thick case without internal magnets, everything will fall off. Get a Apple iPhone 15 Pro Silicone Case with MagSafe or something similar. If you only have $100, skip the battery and focus on the wallet. Losing your ID is way more expensive than a dead phone.
Just saw this. MagSafe has been my daily driver since launch and you gotta be cautious. I once had a cheap pack almost swell.
I'm super satisfied with the Spigen Valentinus MagFit Magnetic Wallet. Its N52 magnets provide increased pull-force, making it a budget-friendly essential that stays secure during your commute.
@Reply #3 - good point! honestly im spiraling exactly like you because I have the same massive fear about my 15 Pro. I commute into the city tho and the anxiety is real!!
Late to the party but this whole thread is 💯. Glad I found it.
