Ive been using MagSafe since the 12 Pro dropped and honestly I thought I had it all figured out, but my old third-party puck just crapped out on me. Im looking to refresh my desk setup before I head back to the office next month. I have a budget of maybe 100 bucks for a couple of pieces, but there is just way too much cheap junk on Amazon right now. Im specifically looking for something that actually holds a charge without overheating my phone like crazy. Do you guys have any MagSafe gear that you actually use daily and dont regret buying? Or should I just stick to the official stuff even if its overpriced...

Stay away from those cheap generic chargers, they usually lack proper thermal regulation and will degrade your battery health. For a desk setup that actually works, I recommend checking out these two items:

  • Anker MagGo 623 2-in-1 Magnetic Charging Station
  • It keeps thermals stable.
  • Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad
  • Solid build quality. Just be careful with generic magnets; they often struggle to align correctly for efficient power delivery.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've gone through way too many cheap pucks over the years and honestly just stick to reputable brands now. If you want a desk setup that wont destroy your battery, the Twelve South Forte for iPhone is rock solid because the heavy base stays put. For a power bank, grab the Anker 621 Magnetic Battery 5000mAh since it actually fits the phone footprint without that annoying overhang. Just skip the knockoffs and save yourself the headache.

> stick to the official stuff even if its overpriced Honestly, save your cash. Ive had issues with overheating on official ones. Try the Nomad Base One Max instead, it stays cool.

Honestly, the official puck is fine but it gets warm. Are you looking for a portable battery pack instead, or just a stationary stand for your desk setup?
