I finally upgraded to a new iPhone 15 and I keep hearing about MagSafe but I have no idea how it works. Is it just a magnet? Im really worried about getting a case that blocks the charging or makes the phone fall off a stand. I dont want to spend a crazy amount of money maybe like $40 max? I need something that can handle me dropping it because I do that a lot lol.

  • Needs to be grippy
  • Not too bulky
  • Works with magnetic car mounts
  • Under $40

Should I just buy the Apple one or are there better brands that wont break the bank? I feel like such a dinosaur asking this...

Stumbled on this while looking for a spare tho. MagSafe is basically just a magnet ring that keeps things aligned. I was nervous too but it works great. These are solid for under $40:

I compared the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Spigen+Mag+Armor+MagFit+ iPhone+15&linkCode=osi&t=t=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Mag Armor MagFit iPhone 15 and ESR Classic Hybrid Case HaloLock. Spigen’s matte finish is grippier, but ESR has significantly stronger magnets for car mounts based on my testing.

I totally agree that spending a fortune on the official case is crazy! I found that third-party options actually have way stronger magnets for my car mount anyway. I fumbled my phone onto concrete yesterday and it survived without a scratch. Its such a relief finding something sturdy!! TL;DR: Third-party cases often have better magnets and protection for way less cash.

Just catching up on this. Quick question tho, how high are your typical drops? If its usually onto pavement, you might want to consider reinforced corners.
