LG usually drops some heavy discounts around BF but 1000 dollars covers a lot of ground in their lineup. I have cycled through a few of their high end panels over the years and the deals vary a ton depending on the specific tech you want. To give a better answer I gotta know a couple things first:

  • Are you looking for a standard 4K high refresh display or is ultrawide more your thing?
  • Do you want to go the OLED route or are you sticking with Nano IPS for the brightness? Basically depends on if you are doing competitive shooters or just want the best colors for cinematic games tbh. Prices swing pretty wild on the OLEDs during sale season.

Like someone mentioned, a grand goes a long way if you pick the right panel. In my experience, dont waste cash on mid-range IPS stuff if you can grab one of the OLEDs instead. TL;DR: Grab an OLED if your room isnt a greenhouse. The motion clarity destroys anything else. Ive used the LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B 27-inch OLED 240Hz for a while and honestly, the contrast is just on another level compared to the older Nano-IPS panels. If you need more screen real estate, look at the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B 45-inch Curved OLED 240Hz when it hits those deep sale prices. Just watch your ambient lighting, cause glossy OLEDs hate bright windows. Focus on refresh rates and panel tech, ignore the marketing fluff about contrast ratios on standard LED monitors. You want that near-infinite contrast only OLED gives.
