Ive built PCs for a decade but my trusty 27-inch IPS just died and Im panicking since my RPG backlog is huge. I have about $900 and need something by Tuesday. Im looking at OLEDs but the burn-in risk for static HUDs is stressing me out big time.
Whats the best ultrawide for immersive RPGs that wont die on me?
Dude, if you want total immersion without that OLED anxiety, you gotta look at Mini-LED or high-end IPS! Like someone mentioned, skipping OLED is definitely the move if you want this thing to last forever. Mini-LED contrast is just fantastic for dark RPG dungeons!
This one is a total beast for the price! The colors are super crisp and it has a KVM switch which is handy if you work from the same desk. It's flat tho, not curved, but it's such a reliable workhorse for gaming.
This is my absolute favorite pick right now! You get deep blacks because of the 576 dimming zones but zero burn-in risk. It gets incredibly bright, like, it'll make your fantasy games look amazing! Ngl either choice is gonna be a massive upgrade. Just check the shipping speeds so it arrives by Tuesday! Good luck with the backlog!
Just saw this... honestly ive seen too many panels fail to trust unproven tech. stick to high-end IPS if you want reliability.
In my experience, skipping OLED is the right call if static HUDs stress you out. I've tried many panels over the years and seen them get ruined by map overlays. High-end Nano IPS is still king for peace of mind.
