My official Apple MagSafe wallet keeps slipping off my iPhone 15 when I slide it into my front pocket, and I almost lost my ID yesterday. Honestly so fed up with it. What is the best overall MagSafe wallet for daily use that actually has a strong magnet?

Man, losing your ID is a total nightmare, honestly been there. The Apple one is pretty but the magnets are just okay at best. If you want something that actually stays put, the ESR Magnetic Wallet with HaloLock and Find My Support is the way to go. It basically has a death grip on the phone. The magnets are way stronger than the official one and the Find My tracking is a huge peace of mind for me. It costs around $40 usually. Another solid choice is the PopSockets PopWallet+ for MagSafe. Its kinda bulky but having that grip to hold onto makes it way less likely you'll drop the whole thing. The magnets are decent too, tho the ESR one feels more secure to me. Both are way better than the stock option if youre worried about it sliding off in your pocket.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've had issues with apples weak magnets too, kinda disappointing. Try the Spigen Valentinus MagFit Magnetic Wallet.

  • use silicone cases
  • clean the phone lmk if that works

Can confirm this works. Did the same thing on mine and its been solid ever since.

Works great for me

Jumping in here because unfortunately, relying on silicone cases for friction is just a band-aid. The real issue is the magnetic flux density. Every millimeter of silicone case actually reduces the magnetic pull force by about 15-20 percent because of the air gap it creates. If you want something that actually stays on, you need a wallet with a stronger magnet array. Heres what I found after testing a bunch of these:

  • Peak Design Mobile Wallet Stand: This one uses custom N52 neodymium magnets. The pull force is nearly double Apples standard 800g rating, especially if you pair it with their case. It just doesnt budge.
  • Moft Snap on Phone Stand and Wallet MagSafe: A solid runner-up. It has a dual-magnet system that aligns better horizontally so it wont twist off when sliding into tight pockets. Hope you find one that works for you, let me know if you need the exact specs on the magnet ratings for other brands too.

To add to the point above: nhqnthfwwx is dead on about that magnetic gap, it kills the strength of any wallet. Over the years I have tried many and found that the material texture of the case matters just as much as the magnet itself.

  • Try using a leather skin instead of a thick case to close that gap
  • Check your alignment to make sure the magnets are actually locking and not just resting I honestly stopped using ones with hinges because they add too much bulk and leverage. Keep it simple and slim, and it will stay put way better.

If you want something that stays put without breaking the bank, stop overpaying for official gear. Tbh, I switched to the Sinjimoru MagSafe Wallet a while ago and it has held up way better than the Apple version. The magnets are surprisingly sturdy for the price point.

  • It keeps a super low profile so it doesnt snag on my pockets as much.
  • You can often find them on sale for like half the price of the big brands.
  • The elastic material is actually pretty durable and holds cards tighter over time. Also, if youre still having issues with stuff sliding off, check out the Anker 620 MagGo Phone Grip if you need something more secure for carrying. It adds a bit of extra security so you wont drop your stuff. Honestly, just look for wallets with a dedicated finger loop or better tension mechanisms if you keep losing them. Check out sites like Wirecutter or just filter by highest user ratings on Amazon to see the latest magnetic pull tests before buying.
