I have been using my iPhone 15 Pro heavily for work lately, but the battery just isn't keeping up with my long days. I am tired of carrying around tangled cables, so I am finally looking into MagSafe power banks for a more seamless experience.

I am specifically looking for something slim enough to fit in my jeans pocket while attached, but I am worried about some models getting too hot or charging too slowly. I have looked at the Anker MagGo and the official Apple version, but I am torn between capacity and portability.

Does anyone have a favorite MagSafe pack that balances a compact design with enough juice to get through the day?

Saw this earlier! honestly, MagSafe uses induction, which creates heat. This matters cuz heat degrades your battery health long-term. Here is what I suggest:

I mean, i feel u on the battery struggle... i've been through so many packs over the years!! Honestly, finding that perfect balance between slimness and juice is a struggle. I think, but i am not 100% sure, that the Anker ones might actually handle the heat better than the official Apple one. I remember reading somewhere that they have better heat dissipation tech now? I've been using one of their slim 5k packs for a while and honestly i have no complaints. It gets a bit warm but nothing crazy. It's basically the perfect size for a pocket tbh. Not sure but i heard the newer Qi2 stuff is faster too, so maybe look into that? Anyway, definitely go with a smaller capacity like 5000mAh if you want it to stay portable. Works well for me!! gl!

Just saw this thread and it hits home because I used to be all about the slimmest design possible too. I learned my lesson the hard way tho... I had a really thin one a while back that got so hot in my pocket it actually caused my phone to throttle and the battery health dropped like 5 percent in a single month. It was pretty scary tbh. Now I am way more focused on the safety side of things. Before I buy anything, I usually spend a lot of time on sites like Wirecutter or looking through the technical spreadsheets on the r/MagSafe subreddit. There are some really dedicated people there who test the actual thermal efficiency and power delivery of these things. Honestly, after seeing some of those teardowns, I realized that a lot of the slim ones just dont have enough room for proper heat dissipation. My current setup is a bit more substantial, but it stays cool and hasnt messed with my phone at all. Definitely check out those testing communities before you grab one, it might save your phones long-term health!

For your situation, watch out for heat! If ur using a slim pack in ur pocket, it traps heat and KILLS ur battery health long-term. MagSafe is basically a tiny heater. In my experience, safety matters way more than capacity, i think.

  • Look for Qi2 certified packs for better efficiency
  • Stick to brands like Belkin for better thermal sensors
  • Dont charge during heavy work Basically, just watch those temps while it's in ur pocket! gl
