So I finally upgraded to an iPhone 15 last week and I keep seeing these magnets on the back of the case when I scroll through social media. I honestly feel so out of the loop here, sorry if this is a dumb question but is MagSafe just a fancy way of saying it sticks to things? Im really confused by all the options out there. I mostly just want something to keep my phone propped up while I watch videos in the kitchen since my counter space is tiny and I always drop my phone in the flour when Im baking. My budget is probably around 50 bucks or so, not looking to spend a fortune on a battery pack or anything crazy right now. Is there a specific brand that actually stays put, or do they all just slide around? I saw some ring things and little stands but I dont know what is actually worth buying vs what is just cheap junk. Does anyone have a favorite that isnt gonna break the bank or fall off if I bump the table? Really just need something simple for my desk and kitchen setup...
Honestly, skip the cheap rings. I had issues with the adhesive peeling off mine. For the kitchen, grab the Belkin MagSafe iPhone Mount instead. It stays put much better.
Congrats on the new 15! MagSafe is essentially a ring of magnets built into the back of your phone, which makes snapping on accessories super easy and satisfying. If you are baking and dont want to get flour all over your phone, you definitely need a stable stand. Here are some solid options that wont break your budget:
Adding my two cents, grab the ESR HaloLock Ring Holder Stand. It uses super strong magnets and zinc alloy, so it really stays put while you're baking. Definitely worth the money.
Had a moment to think about this more. Honestly, be careful with those cheap no-name magnetic stands online. I learned the hard way that magnets aren't all built the same, and mine slid right off while I was cooking. Just stick with a reputable brand like Spigen or maybe even OtterBox for your mounting needs. They just feel way more secure. You definitely dont want your new phone hitting the floor because a magnet was weak.
