I have been looking at screens for three hours and my head actually hurts now like what even is the difference between g-sync and freesync and do I even need them. I just want to play my RPGs like Elden Ring and stuff and have it look really pretty and wide but every video I watch uses words I dont understand.
I saved up about 800 dollars for this and I want to buy it by next week but I am so lost. Everything looks the same but the prices are so different. Sorry if this is really basic but which ultrawide is actually the best one for just getting sucked into a game world without being a tech genius?
Oh man I totally feel you on the research burnout! It is seriously a rabbit hole once you start looking at panel types and sync tech. Honestly if you want that wow factor for Elden Ring or Cyberpunk you absolutely need to look at the Alienware AW3423DWF 34-inch Curved QD-OLED. I have this on my desk right now and it is legitimately life changing for RPGs. The colors are just so vibrant and the blacks are actually black, not that weird grayish glow you get on cheaper screens. It makes caves and night scenes in games look terrifyingly beautiful!! Quick tip for you: dont sweat the G-sync vs Freesync stuff too much. Most monitors these days are compatible with whatever graphics card you have so just plug it in and play. For 800 bucks you can definitely snag that Alienware on sale or maybe the LG Ultragear 34GP83A-B 34-inch Nano IPS if you want to save a little cash. But seriously... if you can get the OLED, do it. It is the single biggest upgrade you can make for immersion. Youll be staring at it for hours and it makes every dollar worth it! If you need help with the settings once you get it just hit me up and I can walk you through it!
