When do you think Amazon will have GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs back in stock?

Honestly, Amazon's stock situation usually depends on which AIB partner youre looking at. From what I've seen in the market research, brands like ASUS and MSI tend to have more frequent but smaller shipments compared to others. If your probably just hitting refresh on the main Nvidia landing page, your gonna miss the actual drops. A huge mistake people make is not checking the 'Other Sellers' section; sometimes the official stock is there but the buy box is won by a scalper charging 3x MSRP. Also, you gotta be careful with the power specs for these cards. Tbh, I've heard some chatter about early batches having slight stability issues with the new power connectors, so waiting a bit might actually be a safety win. Nvidia is basically prioritizing the enterprise AI chips over the consumer 5090s right now because the profit margins are way higher there. It just feels like the consumer market is getting the leftovers at this point...

@Reply #5 - good point! Honestly, seeing everyone scramble for these cards brings back memories of the 30-series launch disaster. Everyone is stuck watching main pages, but in my experience, that's just a recipe for frustration. Over the years, I've tried many ways to snag high-end gear. If you're tired of checking Amazon, here is what actually works for me:

  • Local micro-center runs: Nothing beats walking in early. I grabbed my ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5090 OC Edition just by showing up at opening time.
  • Discord alerts: Join a few tech-focused servers that use bots to scrape store APIs. Way faster than any manual check.
  • B&H Photo Video: They have a reliable email alert system that isnt as buggy as the big retailers. Basically, dont rely on just one platform. I once spent weeks refreshing Amazon, only to realize the stock was sitting right there on a niche retailer site because no one thought to check. Good luck, hope you find one soon.
