Has anyone had any luck finding the RTX 5090 in stock recently? I’ve been checking major retailers like Best Buy, NewEgg, and the NVIDIA Shop, but it seems like they’re always sold out. If you’ve managed to snag one or know of any upcoming restocks, please share your experience! Thanks!

I am sitting here doing the same exact thing, dude. I have been trying to snag one for weeks and it is honestly soul-crushing. Over the years, I have built dozens of high-end rigs, but this feels way more intense than even the 30-series shortage. The performance ceiling is just so high this time that it has created a perfect storm. Here is basically why it is so impossible right now based on what I have seen:

  • The raw specs on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 32GB GDDR7 are so overkill that data centers are actually buying consumer stock to bridge gaps in their AI clusters.
  • In my experience, these massive dies have much lower yields initially, so NVIDIA literally cannot print them fast enough to meet this level of hype.
  • The transition to GDDR7 is a major bottleneck in the supply chain that most people are not even talking about yet. I just want to see those 4K path-tracing benchmarks in person on my own monitor, but until then, I guess we both just keep hitting F5. It is rough out here.
