I am finally upgrading my rig for heavy 4K video work and just grabbed an i9-14900K but honestly the heat stories are scaring me. I need to buy a cooler by Monday so I am ready when the rest of the parts get here. Right now I am torn between the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and the Corsair iCUE Link H150i. The Arctic is way cheaper and people say the performance is insane but that Corsair setup looks so much cleaner for cable management in my mid-tower case. My budget is $220 max so both fit but I am worried about the i9 running like a furnace. Which one is actually gonna keep me from thermal throttling during long exports?
Honestly im so happy with the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 AIO. It handles that i9 heat reliably and saves you serious cash. Works well for long exports, no complaints at all.
Honestly, I've spent way too much time testing these things. In my experience, the Corsair looks great but for pure thermal headroom, I recently switched to the Lian Li Galahad II Trinity Performance 360. The thicker radiator and high-pressure fans really make a difference for sustained 4K exports where the i9 just stays pinned. It kept my temps way more stable during my last project and honestly you wont regret the extra cooling power.
