Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of building a new gaming PC and have decided to go with the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D as my processor. However, I'm unsure about which GPU would be the best match for this CPU to achieve optimal gaming performance.
I'm looking for a GPU that can handle high-resolution gaming (1440p and 4K) and maintain high frame rates in demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and upcoming releases. Ray tracing and DLSS support would be a plus.
My budget for the GPU is around 800 1000, but I'm willing to stretch it a bit if the performance gains are significant.
I've been considering options like the NVIDIA RTX 4080 and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, but I'm open to other suggestions as well.
Could you please share your thoughts on which GPU would be the best fit for the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D? I'd greatly appreciate any insights, personal experiences, or benchmarks that could help me make an informed decision.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Saved for later, ty!
Re: "Saved for later, ty!" - honestly it drives me crazy how we have to keep debating this. I have been building rigs for years and it just feels like we are stuck in a loop of paying way too much for marginal gains. Everything is overpriced right now and honestly it feels like a total scam. It is like these companies just dont care about the actual gamers anymore, they just want to squeeze every last penny out of us for hardware that feels like it is built cheaper every single year.
For $800 to $1000, the best choice is RTX 4080 or RTX 4070 Ti SUPER.
7900XTX is also great for 7800X3D.
Solid advice 👍
For a balanced build with the 7800X3D, I'd suggest the RTX 4070. It's a great mid-range option that offers excellent performance in both 1440p and 4K gaming. Plus, you get the benefits of DLSS and ray tracing.
Based on your budget.
RTX 4080 SUPER, for 4K gaming.
RTX 4070 TI SUPER is recommended.
