So I have been installing my own tempered glass for a decade now but lately nothing seems to stick right. My logic was that the big name brands like Belkin or Zagg would have better adhesive but I just wasted $40 on a screen protector that started peeling at the corner on my new iPhone 15 Pro within 48 hours. Its so frustrating because I used a proper alignment tool and everything. I thought maybe the 2.5D curved edges are just getting more aggressive or something? I am looking for something with a solid oleophobic coating that doesnt feel like plastic. Does anyone have a go-to that actually survives more than a week? Budget isnt really the issue at this point I just want it to work...

Honestly, the big brands like Zagg are way overpriced for what they give you. The slight curve on the 15 Pro is definitely making things harder for adhesives lately. I have been doing this since the iPhone 4 days and finally switched to these:

  • Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass for iPhone 15 Pro is my top pick. The alignment tool is basically dummy-proof and it actually stays down.
  • ESR Armorite Screen Protector for iPhone 15 Pro is also great and the oleophobic coating feels way more premium than the price suggests. One tip tho... clean the edges with the alcohol wipe for way longer than you think you need to. Sometimes factory oils get stuck in those tiny crevices and stop the glue from grabbing. Also, dont put your case on immediately. Let it sit for ten minutes or so to let the adhesive bond properly.

Like someone mentioned, big brands and tight cases ruin things. Over the years, amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Screen Protector iPhone 15 Pro is the only reliable setup I've found, tbh.

> If your case lip touches the edge of the glass even a tiny bit, it’ll peel within days. ^ This. Also, I noticed on my own device that the titanium frame on the 15 Pro seems to have a slightly different tolerance than the older stainless models. I spent a whole evening measuring the gap between the screen edge and the frame with calipers because I was losing my mind over my previous protector peeling after two days. Basically, even if you use the alignment tray, some of those big name brands are cut so close to the edge that any thermal expansion from the phone getting warm while charging can push the glass against the case lip. I finally found a setup where the glass is just 0.1mm narrower than the display area. It looks a bit weird if you stare at it, but it hasn't budged in weeks. You might want to be careful with any glass that claims edge-to-edge coverage on the 15 series because that usually means it’s gonna fight with your case. I would suggest looking for something that specifically mentions a case-friendly gap, even if it isnt as pretty.

Quick reply while I have a sec because Ive been through exactly what you’re describing. Im actually really satisfied with how my current setup is holding up lately, but you gotta be careful with the 15 Pro specifically. The issue usually isnt the glue, its the case compatibility. If your case lip touches the edge of the glass even a tiny bit, it’ll peel within days. Watch out for these common traps:

  • Glass that is too thick (anything over 0.33mm is risky)
  • Full coverage protectors that go right to the metal edge
  • Putting a tight case on immediately after the install Ive found that case-friendly cuts are basically mandatory now. Dont get discouraged tho, once you find the right fit, the oleophobic coating feels just as good as the native screen. Just double check your case clearance before you drop more cash... it makes a huge difference.

Ugh, I totally feel your pain! I have been struggling with the exact same thing on my 15 Pro, it drives me absolutely insane when that corner starts lifting. I spent so much time cleaning my screen only for it to bubble up a few days later, super frustrating. Since you want something that actually stays put, try these two things next time:

  • Use a dedicated electronics screen cleaner or 90 percent isopropyl alcohol to get rid of every single trace of finger oil before applying.
  • Check if your case is pushing the glass up, sometimes you just need to swap to a case with a slightly lower lip. I really love the feel of the TORRAS Diamond Shield for iPhone 15 Pro glass, it feels so smooth and legit like the real screen. Seriously, that oleophobic coating is amazing and it hasn't budged at all for me yet!
