I just switched from my old Samsung to an iPhone 15 Pro and honestly Im kinda panicking about how much stuff I need to buy now. I spent so much on the phone itself that I dont want to break it but the options are literally everywhere and its so overwhelming. I looked online and everyone says to get the official Apple MagSafe charger but then I saw a bunch of people on Reddit saying it gets way too hot and to just buy an Anker block instead. I also read that the Ceramic Shield glass is super strong and doesnt need a protector but then some YouTube videos show it scratching really easily from just being in a pocket so now I dont know if I actually need a screen protector or if thats just a waste of money...
I live in London and I have a big work trip coming up this Friday so I need to get this sorted like yesterday. My budget is probably around £100 for everything because I already spent way too much on the device.
Do I really need the official stuff or is the third-party stuff on Amazon okay? I really dont want to ruin the battery or the screen in the first week. Help??
Agreeing here, tho Apple gear is unfortunately inefficient... dont waste money.
Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been very satisfied with a few specific components that balance technical performance and cost. I have found that third-party hardware often matches or exceeds Apple specifications, particularly regarding thermal management during high-speed charging.
Totally agree that third-party gear is usually better value and technically superior. Apple chargers are fine, but GaN tech is more efficient for heat management and speed.
