I just switched from my old Samsung to an iPhone 15 Pro and honestly Im kinda panicking about how much stuff I need to buy now. I spent so much on the phone itself that I dont want to break it but the options are literally everywhere and its so overwhelming. I looked online and everyone says to get the official Apple MagSafe charger but then I saw a bunch of people on Reddit saying it gets way too hot and to just buy an Anker block instead. I also read that the Ceramic Shield glass is super strong and doesnt need a protector but then some YouTube videos show it scratching really easily from just being in a pocket so now I dont know if I actually need a screen protector or if thats just a waste of money...

I live in London and I have a big work trip coming up this Friday so I need to get this sorted like yesterday. My budget is probably around £100 for everything because I already spent way too much on the device.

  • Need a case that isnt bulky but wont let the screen shatter if I drop it (I drop my phone a lot)
  • A charger that actually charges fast because I dont have time to wait around
  • Maybe a portable power bank that isnt a brick

Do I really need the official stuff or is the third-party stuff on Amazon okay? I really dont want to ruin the battery or the screen in the first week. Help??

Agreeing here, tho Apple gear is unfortunately inefficient... dont waste money.

  • Mous Limitless 5.0 iPhone 15 Pro Case (£55)
  • Belkin BoostCharge Pro 30W USB-C GaN Wall Charger (£25)

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have been very satisfied with a few specific components that balance technical performance and cost. I have found that third-party hardware often matches or exceeds Apple specifications, particularly regarding thermal management during high-speed charging.

  • ESR iPhone 15 Pro Case with Stash Stand is excellent for protection. It features reinforced corners for drop resistance and the metal kickstand works well for video calls. No complaints about the bulk either.
  • Ugreen Nexode 30W GaN Wall Charger is my top pick for efficiency. It supports the full Power Delivery 3.0 spec, meaning it charges the 15 Pro as fast as possible while staying cooler than the standard Apple block.
  • Belkin BoostCharge Magnetic Wireless Power Bank 5K is quite slim and fits the back of the phone perfectly without blocking the camera lenses. Honestly, you definitely need a screen protector. Even if the glass wont shatter, pocket sand and keys will cause micro-scratches over time. These third-party options are basically half the price of official gear but perform just as well.

Totally agree that third-party gear is usually better value and technically superior. Apple chargers are fine, but GaN tech is more efficient for heat management and speed.

  • Anker 711 Charger Nano II 30W: Compact GaN tech, stays cooler than the official block.
  • Spigen Magnetic Ultra Hybrid MagFit Case for iPhone 15 Pro: Solid drop protection without the thickness. Also check Anker 622 Magnetic Battery MagGo 5000mAh for your trip. It is slim enough to not be a brick.
