What are you guys actually using for drop protection these days? Ive always just gone with basic silicone cases but my 15 Pro just took a nasty spill on the sidewalk in downtown Seattle and now the bezel is pretty scuffed up. Im looking for something heavy duty but not too bulky since I keep it in my pocket for work. Is a tempered glass screen protector still the gold standard or is there something better?
> Is a tempered glass screen protector still the gold standard or is there something better? I totally agree with that. Tempered glass is still king, hands down! If you want heavy duty protection without the massive bulk, check out the UAG Monarch Series Kevlar iPhone 15 Pro Case. It is super rugged but fits in your pocket perfectly. Definitely grab a ZAGG InvisibleShield Glass Elite Screen Protector too. Your phone will be indestructible!
Man, that sucks about your bezel. Honestly, if you want real protection without the bulk, dont mess around with cheap silicone anymore. You might want to consider these instead:
Bummer about the scratch. Are you leaning towards a slim hybrid case or a full rugged shell for the replacement? Also, how often do you find yourself dropping it on concrete?
> Is a tempered glass screen protector still the gold standard or is there something better? Honestly, I swear by the stuff. I used to be so clumsy, I dropped my phone right onto a jagged rock while hiking last summer! The screen protector shattered, but my actual phone screen was perfect. It saved me hundreds. Like someone mentioned, you really need that extra layer. For the case, I switched over to the OtterBox Defender Series XT iPhone 15 Pro Case. It feels super secure in my hand and it fits in my jeans pocket without being a total brick. I know it sounds like overkill, but after seeing my phone survive that fall, I am never going back to basic silicone. Just get a solid case and a quality screen protector like Belkin UltraGlass Screen Protector for iPhone 15 Pro and you will be golden!
