What is the absolute best 4k monitor for a ps5 because honestly i am so lost looking at all these numbers and letters?
So i finally managed to get a ps5 after saving up for like a year and im still playing it on this old 1080p tv i got from my parents like five years ago. I live in a pretty small studio apartment in Chicago so i dont really have room for a giant 65 inch tv and i heard monitors are better for like response time or whatever that means. Im sorry if this is a super basic question but every time i look online i see people talking about hdmi 2.1 and vrr and 120hz and my brain just kinda shuts off. I just want something that makes games like the new spider-man look really pretty but also wont make me lag when i play call of duty with my friends on the weekends.
My budget is probably around $600 maybe $700 if its really worth it but i dont want to spend money on features that the ps5 cant even use anyway. I looked at a few things but its all confusing:
Is there a specific size i should look for? I saw some that were 27 inches and some 32 and i dont know if 4k even looks different on a smaller screen like that. Also i saw some talk about oled but those seem way too expensive right? I just want something that works right out of the box without me having to go into a million settings menus because i will definitely break something. If anyone has like a specific model they love or just some advice for a total beginner who has no idea what they are doing i would really love some help here. I'm hoping to buy something by next week before my vacation starts so i can just game the whole time...
Stumbled on this today and honestly finding a perfect 4K screen under $700 is tough because they all have annoying trade-offs.
Dude, congrats on the PS5! You are gonna love it!! I've tested a ton of screens and imo for your budget, 27 or 28 inches is the absolute sweet spot for 4K.
Just wanted to say thanks for everyone chiming in. Super helpful discussion.
