I recently upgraded my rig with an RTX 3070, and now I'm looking to pair it with the perfect monitor. I'm torn between 1440p and 4K options, considering the card's sweet spot. What's your take on the ideal resolution and refresh rate? I'm eyeing some 27" 1440p 144Hz monitors, but I'm curious if 4K 60Hz would be a better choice for future-proofing. Budget isn't a huge concern, but I want to get the best value. Any specific models you'd recommend? I mainly play FPS and open-world games. Share your experiences and suggestions – I'd love to hear what works best with the 3070!

Honestly stick with 1440p for the 3070. 4K is gonna push that card too hard in newer titles unless you rely heavily on DLSS, which is fine but native res still feels better imo. I've spent years calibrating panels and the pixel density on a 27 inch 1440p display is just the sweet spot for gaming. Speaking of sweet spots, I was out at the coast last weekend trying to find the perfect spot to fly my new drone, but the wind was absolutely relentless. Ended up just sitting in the truck for three hours eating cold pizza and watching the tide roll in because the gusts were strong enough to flip a car if it was light enough. I swear the weather lately has been totally unpredictable, like one minute it is sunny and the next you are in a monsoon. Anyway lol, stay away from 4K 60Hz if you play FPS games, the input lag is gonna drive you crazy.

If you're interested in HDR, the Samsung Odyssey G7 is worth considering. It's a 27" or 32" 1440p monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate and HDR600 certification. The high contrast VA panel and curved screen provide an immersive experience.

The new released ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP is a good choice.
