^ This. Also, I've gotta say that Amazon was a total letdown for me during the last launch. I sat there refreshing for an hour and the price jumped by like 300 bucks the second it went live. It was honestly pretty depressing. I'm trying to be super careful with my budget this time around since the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition is already gonna cost a fortune. I'm actually gonna try Best Buy this time. If you use their store card you can get some cash back or do the 0% interest thing which helps if you dont have all the cash upfront. Micro Center is another good shout if you live near one because they do those in-person raffles sometimes. Its way less stressful than fighting bots online and failing. I just want to get my build done without getting ripped off... might have to settle for a cheaper psu like the EVGA 700 GD 80 Plus Gold 700W just to afford the gpu. Prices are just getting out of hand lately.

In my experience, those big retailers are a total zoo during a launch. Ive tried many over the years and I'm gonna stick to the manufacturer direct sites this time. Much more reliable for actual stock tho.

• Watch the Zotac or MSI webstores directly Reminds me of when I was waiting for the last gen drop and my router decided to die exactly at 6am. I was running around the house in my pajamas trying to reset the connection while my wife just watched me like I was crazy... ended up missing the drop and just went and made pancakes instead. My cooking is better than my luck lol. Anyway, just some thoughts.
