Honestly, the stock situation is a mess right now but shipments should start stabilizing by late March or early April as the initial launch craze cools off. If you are looking at long-term ownership for the next 4 or 5 years, you really want to focus on the cooling and VRM phases since these cards pull massive power. I have been looking at the data and here are the two best options imo:

• ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 5090 OC Edition: Pros: Absolute unit of a cooler and top-tier power delivery components that will outlast the warranty. Cons: It is insanely huge and takes up way too much case space.
• MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Suprim X: Pros: Better aesthetics and much quieter fan curve out of the box. Cons: MSI software can be a bit annoying to deal with long-term. Tbh if you can find the ASUS in stock first, grab it for the build quality alone. Just make sure your PSU can handle the transient spikes... these things are hungry.
