I’m planning a compact Mini-ITX build and need a GPU that balances performance and size. I’ve seen recommendations for the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra and the Gigabyte RX 7800 XT, but I’m unsure which one fits better in smaller cases like the HYTE Revolt 3. Are there any other compact GPUs, like the EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti XC Gaming, that offer good performance without compromising on space? What cooling solutions work best for these setups?

Like someone mentioned, thermals are the real bottleneck in that Revolt 3 case. Fitting a huge card is one thing, but keeping it from throttling is another story entirely. If you want something reliable that wont stress your power supply or bake your motherboard, sticking to dual-fan designs is usually the safer bet for long-term stability and cost.

  • ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB OC Edition
  • It has a beefy enough heatsink for the chipset, stays quiet, and doesnt pull crazy wattage.
  • ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Twin Edge OC
  • Super compact at under 226mm, so you get plenty of airflow around the card which is huge for ITX. Going with a lower TDP card is just smarter for these small builds. You save money on the initial purchase and dont have to worry about your system shutting down during a heatwave. Performance is decent enough for most stuff anyway... no need to overcomplicate things with a triple-slot monster if you value the life of your hardware.

For a Mini-ITX build in 2025, the best GPU options include the RTX 5070 for high performance and the RX 9070 for great value. Both fit compact cases well.

Honestly, if ur building in a Revolt 3, u gotta watch the thermals just as much as the physical clearance. Even though that case technically fits triple-slot cards, it gets real toasty real fast. If ur looking for the best value-to-size ratio without breaking the bank, here are a few solid options: * NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Founders Edition - It's basically the gold standard for ITX right now because the flow-through cooler works surprisingly well in vertical cases.
* ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 - Super compact, only two fans, and very power efficient which means less heat dumped into ur small enclosure.
* ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB Solo - If u really want to save space and cash, this is a tiny single-fan beast that handles 1080p/1440p easily. But yeah, like, the biggest pro tip I can give for SFF builds is to undervolt ur GPU. Use MSI Afterburner to drop the voltage slightly; u usually keep 95% of the performance but drop temps by 10C. It's an absolute game changer for Mini-ITX builds (at least thats what worked for me).
