The recently released RX 9070 XT seems much better compared to NVIDIA. So is there any chance that AMD will release RX 9080XT or even 9090 XT in near future to compete with NVIDIA 5080 and 5090.
The top version was reportedly canceled due to unattainable performance targets or an insurmountable issue requiring redesign.
Ok so, I'm kind of new to following all the chip architecture stuff, but I’ve been digging into why we aren't getting those top-tier cards. From what I can tell, it sounds like AMD basically decided to focus on efficiency this time around because making a massive die for a Radeon RX 9090 XT would have just been too power hungry and realy expensive to build. Like, if they can't beat the top NVIDIA cards on pure speed yet, they'd rather just win on value with the Radeon RX 9070 XT, right? If you realy need that 4K ultra performance now and can't wait years, maybe look at a Radeon RX 7900 XTX on sale? It's older but the raw power is still there and it has way more VRAM than most mid-range stuff. Or just go for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 if you dont mind spending the extra cash for the flagship experience. I'm still wondering though, is it just a software thing or is the hardware actually limited by the chiplet design? It’s all a bit wierd but honestly, the mid-range seems where the fun is anyway...
Radeon RX 9000 series is limited to RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, targeting midrange and upper-budget gamers. There will be no 9080 or 9090 XT. Wait till early 2026 for UDNA for higher end model.

Did this last week, worked perfectly
.
I also hope AMD will release them.
AMD had not officially confirmed the specific model lineup for their high-end RX 9000 series. For the most current information, I'd recommend checking AMD's official announcements or reputable tech news sites.
No, just enjoy RX 9070 XT.
Nope.
Just enjoy RX 9070 XT.
Nope, there is not going to be 9080/9090
