I’m on a tight budget but want a GPU that can handle 1080p gaming smoothly. I’ve seen options like the MSI GTX 1660 Super Aero ITX and the Sapphire RX 6600, but I’m not sure which one offers better value. Are there any newer budget GPUs that outperform these models? How do they compare in terms of power efficiency and longevity? Should I consider used GPUs, or are new models more reliable?
Yeah, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 is definitely a solid shout for the power efficiency alone. Honestly though, looking at the current market research, AMD is usually the better value play for raw 1080p performance if you dont care about ray tracing or DLSS. Ngl, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 hits that sweet spot for price-to-performance right now. Iirc, Sapphire usually has better build quality for AMD cards than the entry-level MSI lines, so id lean toward them for longevity. Quick tip: If youre buying new, keep an eye on the AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT. Even though its a bit older, it often goes on sale for less than the 4060 and the extra VRAM makes it much more viable for future games.
RTX 4060 is also OK.
RTX 5060.
