Been eyeing an RTX 3060 for my build and wondering if anyone has insights on potential deals coming up. Currently seeing them around $279-299. Should I wait for BF/CM sales? Also, which retailers typically have the best GPU discounts during this time? Appreciate any tips from previous years' experiences.

You can just check Amazon or Newegg for best deals, add it to cart, you will get notified when price dropped.

To add to the point above: honestly, you might want to consider if the 3060 is still the best play for your budget. I remember waiting for a sale a few years back on a EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC Gaming 12GB GDDR6 only to realize that for just a bit more, I could have grabbed something way more efficient. Be careful with the 8GB variants out there, they aren't the same card at all. You really need that 12GB VRAM buffer if you plan on doing any rendering or playing modern titles at 1440p.

  • Check local marketplaces for used ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB as miners are offloading them cheap
  • Look into the AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB GDDR6 instead if you can find it on sale, the price-to-performance ratio totally crushes the 3060 in raw rasterization Make sure your power supply can handle it before you pull the trigger. Honestly, if you can wait for a clearance sale on the 40-series cards, you might get better dlss support for the same cash.

Tbh if you're really chasing value, waiting for a sale on a 3060 might leave you frustrated. Over the years I've found that mid-range cards hit a price floor early and just stay there until they go out of stock. If you need a reliable card that handles 1080p gaming without breaking a sweat, I'd look elsewhere.

  • ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6
  • Much better power efficiency and DLSS 3 support for not much more cash.
  • Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB GDDR6
  • Often hits the used or clearance market for the same price as a new 3060 and honestly crushes it in raw performance. Prices on the older 3060 models usually dont move enough on Black Friday to justify the wait. If you can stretch your budget slightly, grab a 40-series card and just be done with it. You'll save money on your power bill long term anyway.
