Best CPU for RX 7700 XT ?

I'm planning to build a new gaming PC and I've decided to go with the RX 7700 XT graphics card. However, I'm not sure which CPU would be the best match for this GPU to avoid bottlenecking and ensure optimal performance.

I'm considering options from both Intel and AMD, but I'm open to suggestions. My budget for the CPU is around $500.

@Reply #5 - good point! honestly the 9800X3D is a beast but if you're building this yourself you might want to consider the extra heat and power. people tend to ignore the basics when chasing top tier chips and it can bite you later.

make sure your case has actually decent airflow because those chips get pretty toasty during long sessions

check if your motherboard needs a bios update before you seat the cpu or it might not even boot

dont go too cheap on the power supply since you want stable power for both that card and a high-end chip really easy to get caught up in the hype and forget these parts need proper support. just be careful with the cooling setup so you dont thermal throttle right out of the gate.
