Are vertical GPU mounts worth it for better airflow and aesthetics?

Ive been building my own rigs since the GTX 900 series days so Im not exactly a newbie but Im honestly stumped on whether I should pull the trigger on a vertical mount. I just finished my latest build in a Phanteks case last night and this new 4080 Super is just... humongous. Its sagging like crazy even with the little support bracket it came with and it looks kinda goofy just hanging there taking up half the motherboard.

Im worried about the thermals though because Ive heard vertical mounts can choke the fans if theyre too close to the glass but some people swear it helps with the heat being pulled away better? My budget for this is like 70 bucks max because I already spent way too much on the card itself and Im trying to get this sorted before my long weekend of Cyberpunk starts on Friday. Ive got enough clearance in the case I think but I dont want to sacrifice performance just for the cool factor of seeing the RGB fans. Is the airflow actually better or am I just gonna cook my vram for the sake of aesthetics? I see those universal kits from Cooler Master and Linkup but I dont want to waste the cash if it ends up running 10 degrees hotter...

Vertical mounts can be risky if the GPU sits too close to your side panel. I suggest looking at the Cooler Master Universal Vertical GPU Holder Kit V3 PCIe 4.0 since it lets you adjust the distance from the glass. The EZDIY-FAB Vertical PCIe 4.0 GPU Mount Multi-Angle is a decent budget alternative too. The Cooler Master kit is sturdier for heavy cards, while the EZDIY is cheaper but feels slightly less secure.
