I'm looking to expand my console's storage and wondering about the best memory card options out there. What capacity do you recommend for a good balance between space and cost? Are there specific brands that perform better with the Switch OLED? I've heard conflicting info about read/write speeds – how important are they for gaming performance? I've had great success with the SanDisk Ultra 256GB microSDXC card for my Switch OLED. It's fast, reliable, and has plenty of space for all my games and screenshots. Make sure to get a UHS-I card, as the Switch doesn't support UHS-II speeds.

Been using a 400GB SanDisk Ultra for 2 years with zero issues. Paid $45 during a Black Friday sale which felt worth it to never worry about space. Games load just as fast as they did on my old 128GB card. I've filled about 60% with mostly first-party titles and larger third-party games like Witcher 3. Keep an eye on r/NintendoSwitchDeals - good cards go on sale every few months.
