I recently upgraded to the PS5 Pro and I'm already running out of storage space with these massive game files. Looking for recommendations on external SSDs that are fast enough to handle the Pro's capabilities without breaking the bank. What's your experience with load times and performance? Any particular brands or models that work especially well with the Pro's architecture?
The Samsung T7 Shield and Crucial X10 Pro are strong contenders, offering durability and speed. Load times will be noticeably faster than a standard HDD, but not dramatically different between high-end SSDs.
SanDisk Extreme Pro V2 is my pick. Been rock solid for over a year now. The key thing people forget is that you don't need crazy fast speeds for PS5 external storage since you're just storing games, not running them directly off the external drive. The SanDisk hits that sweet spot of speed, reliability, and price. Plus it's compact enough that it doesn't look awkward hanging off the console.
