Just got a PS5 Pro but my old 1080p monitor isn't doing it justice. I want to experience 4K gaming but don't have unlimited funds. What affordable monitors (under $400) would you recommend that can actually take advantage of the Pro's enhanced visuals? Does HDMI 2.1 make a noticeable difference? Do I need 120Hz or is 60Hz sufficient?
For 4K gaming under $400, the AOC Q27G3XMN is a budget-friendly option mentioned in recent reviews.
Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.
Yep been there done that. Can confirm everything said above is spot on.

The ASUS VP28UQG is what I'd recommend if you're really trying to save money. It's a TN panel so the viewing angles aren't amazing, but the response time is excellent for competitive gaming and it does native 4K. Usually goes for under $300 and has been my main PS5 display for over a year. Colors are decent after some calibration and it supports the full 4K60 that PS5 games output.
