Ive been trying to turn my tablet into a legit workstation since I have a big trip to Chicago coming up next week and I really dont want to lug my heavy laptop through OHare. I looked at the Logitech Keys-to-Go because its so thin but some reviews say the typing experience is basically like hitting a piece of cardboard and that makes me nervous for long emails. Then people suggest the K380 but it seems kinda bulky for a small backpack?

I need something under $70 that actually feels like a real keyboard and works with both iOS and Android since I switch between them. Does anyone have a favorite go-to that isnt too mushy or heavy for constant travel?

I'm very satisfied with the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard. It has 1.5mm key travel and weighs 423g. It's only 16mm thick, so it's not bulky at all, no complaints.

Re: "I'm very satisfied with the Logitech K380..." - what tablet size are we talking? Over the years, the Arteck HB030B Slim Bluetooth Keyboard has proven much more reliable for a budget pick.

Honestly, you should just look at any of the portable options from Microsoft! Their build quality is absolutely fantastic and they feel way more premium than the cheap plastic alternatives people usually suggest. I love how they manage to keep the profile slim without making the keys feel like mushy cardboard. You really cant go wrong with their hardware engineering for travel.

  • Excellent tactile response for long emails
  • Very lightweight for backpack carry
  • Solid multi-device connectivity I actually used a similar setup when I flew into Chicago last year and O'Hare is such a total maze. Honestly tho, the food in Terminal 3 is worth the layover alone. I think I spent three hours just eating deep dish and watching people sprint to their gates... it was way more entertaining than actually working. Anyway, stick to a reputable brand like that and you'll be fine.
