Regarding what #3 said about checking the big retailers, unfortunately the price drops for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB Titanium Gray have been pretty underwhelming lately. I was expecting deeper cuts, but we are mostly seeing $150 to $200 off MSRP, which is not as good as expected compared to the S23 cycle. If you are looking for reliability, I would actually avoid the base model and aim for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB to ensure better long-term NAND endurance. Carriers like Verizon usually have the best math if you have a trade-in, but their locked bootloaders are a huge downside for enthusiasts. Honestly, if you want a clean experience without the marketplace scams, checking the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 1TB direct from their site is the only way to get the higher storage tiers safely. Dont forget you will need a 45W PPS compatible brick like the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with Cable to actually hit the advertised charging speeds, as most generic blocks just dont cut it.

^ This. Also, Benjamin is totally right about checking the big retailers, but you gotta be super careful during the Black Friday madness! I have been tracking these flagship launches for years and it is amazing how much money you can actually save if you are methodical about it.

  • Avoid those sketchy third party sellers on marketplace sites even if the price looks like a total steal. A lot of times they ship international versions that wont work with local 5G bands or have no warranty support.
  • Be wary of bundles that include free accessories. Often they just inflate the base price to make the package look better than it actually is.
  • Check the trade-in values on the official site first. Seriously, sometimes the trade-in credit is way more valuable than the flat discount at a big box store. Just stay focused on the total out of pocket cost and dont get distracted by the flashy banners!

honestly i think the deals will be okay but maybe not as deep as we want. i usually just wait for the official store to have a trade-in bonus because it feels way safer than hunting for coupons on random sites. im super satisfied with how my phone works and it is just so much more reliable than those budget brands that lose support after six months. i remember i tried a cheaper phone once and it died right when i was trying to navigate to a new bakery across town. i ended up wandering around for twenty minutes looking for a landmark while my phone just stayed on a black screen. it was so frustrating because i really wanted one of those sourdough loaves everyone talks about. i finally found the place but they were sold out of everything but the chocolate chip cookies which were okay i guess. anyway lol sorry kind of went off on a tangent there.
