I just got the new Galaxy S25 Ultra and need a high-quality leather case. Preferably something that develops a nice patina over time while offering good protection. What brands have you tried and would recommend? Any to avoid? Thanks!

I am absolutely obsessed with getting the protection part right because this phone was way too expensive to mess up. I remember my old S21 fell right on its face because the leather case I had didn't have enough of a lip around the screen... total heartbreak! It is amazing how much difference a millimeter of TPU makes under the leather hide. I have been digging into the technical side of these builds and honestly:
- I think the vegetable tanned stuff holds up better for corner drops
- Not sure if the newest S25 versions have internal air cushioning yet
- Someone told me to watch out for metal buttons that might rattle I am not 100 percent sure which way to go yet tho. I heard rumors that some premium leather is actually just bonded scraps that peel after a month, which would be terrible! I am still looking for that perfect balance of a rugged frame and that authentic smell and feel... the hunt is half the fun honestly!
