Hi everyone! I'm looking for recommendations on a good charger for my new Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. I've heard that Samsung's own chargers are the best, but I'm also open to third-party options if they meet the necessary standards. What wattage should I look for, and are there any specific brands or models that you would recommend?

Subbing for updates

Re: "Subbing for updates" - basically what wpuqskxxje said, it is worth keeping an eye on the options. I definitely agree with Miller_44 that dual ports are a total lifesaver when you are traveling and only have one outlet. But honestly, I kinda disagree with the push for the absolute highest wattage. Ive been using these phones for a decade and I have spent way too much money on the latest charging tech. I remember buying a super expensive brick for my last phone and honestly? It saved me maybe ten minutes because the phone throttles the speed as it gets warm anyway. If you mostly charge overnight on a nightstand, you really dont need the top-tier 45W stuff. An older 25W charger is much cheaper and works perfectly fine without generating as much heat. It is a lot more budget-friendly and your battery might actually last longer in the long run. Just my experience after going through way too many of these things...

Samsung's Official 45W Charger is recommended. This charger ensures full compatibility and optimal charging speeds for the S25+ and S25 Ultra models. Users have reported that it charges the S25 Ultra in approximately one hour.

Had a moment to think about this more and honestly, my journey with these Ultra phones has taught me to be pretty cautious. Chasing the highest wattage on the box ended up costing me a charging port on an older model once. Here is what I have learned over the years regarding reliability:

  • Heat is the absolute enemy. Some of my older high-speed bricks would get incredibly hot, which definitely isnt great for the internal battery chemistry long-term.
  • Communication between the phone and the brick is key. PPS (Programmable Power Supply) support is a must-have because it allows the device to request exactly what it needs instead of being blasted with static voltage.
  • Cables are usually the failure point. One time I thought my charger was broken, but it was just a cheap cable that couldnt handle the current. My current setup involves a Belkin BoostCharge Pro 65W GaN Wall Charger that has been solid for a while. It stays much cooler than the generic ones used in the past. Just make sure to double-check certifications, as some no-name brands on marketplaces can be a bit sketchy with their safety claims.

Get Official Samsung Charger.

I’ve got the S25 Ultra too, and I swear by the UGREEN Nexode 45W charger. It’s a dual-port GaN charger, so it’s small but powerful, and it hits that 45W sweet spot perfectly. You’ll need a good 5A USB-C cable to get the full speed, though—the one that came with the phone works fine for me. If you’re into wireless, the Samsung 15W Wireless Charger Duo is decent, but wired is definitely faster. What’s your budget like? That might narrow it down.

For the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, a 45W PD charger is ideal, as it supports fast charging and ensures optimal performance. Look for chargers with Programmable Power Supply technology for better compatibility and efficiency. Brands like Anker or Samsung's official chargers are reliable options.

Get ANKER chargers.

Hi! For your S25 Ultra, consider the 50W dual USB-C Samsung charger or the Anker 713 for its compact, foldable design. Both are great options!
