Adding my two cents here. Over the years, I have learned that chasing the absolute thinnest profile usually leads to thermal issues or premature battery wear, especially with games like Elden Ring. In my experience, it is much safer for your wallet to look at mid-range models that have better cooling. Like someone mentioned, the high-end stuff is flashy, but I have found more reliability by being conservative with my spending.

  • I have been using the Acer Nitro V 15 Gaming Laptop ANV15-51 lately and it stays much cooler than the premium thin-and-lights I have owned.
  • Check out the HP Victus 16-r0097nr. It is slightly bulkier but the extra air flow keeps the hardware from degrading under heavy loads.
  • If you are on a budget, look for the Dell G15 5530 Gaming Laptop on sale. It is built like a tank and wont let you down mid-boss fight. Honestly, I would rather have a slightly thicker machine that lasts five years than a thin one that burns out in two. Just my experience though...
