Is there a gaming laptop under $1500 capable of running Cyberpunk 2077 with decent settings and a smooth frame rate? tbh you dont actually need to spend the full $1500 to get a great experience in night city. if you want to save some cash for games or a better mouse, id highly recommend looking at the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 i7-13700HX RTX 4060. its usually priced around $1100-$1200 and honestly the cooling is way better than the cheaper nitro models. it handles high settings pretty well especially if you use frame gen. another solid budget-friendly choice is the HP Victus 16 Ryzen 7 7840HS RTX 4060. it looks a bit more low-key if you dont want the gamer aesthetic screaming at you, and it frequently goes on sale for under a grand. just a couple tips for saving money:
- buy the base storage and upgrade the ssd yourself later, its way cheaper than paying the factory markup.
- look for a screen with at least 300-400 nits, cyberpunk looks kinda mid on those dim budget panels.
- you can sometimes find an open-box MSI Katana 15 RTX 4070 for like $1200 if you get lucky at best buy. basically, just grab any decent 40-series card and let dlss do the heavy lifting... it makes a massive difference for the frame rate.

Honestly, if you watch for deals, you can definitely snag an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 or even a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with a 4070 for under $1,500. Frame Generation is basically magic for Cyberpunk 2077 and makes it actually playable at high/ultra settings. Tbh, don't worry about getting 32GB of RAM or a 2TB SSD pre-installed; companies overcharge for those upgrades like crazy. Just get the base model and swap the parts yourself later to save a couple hundred bucks lol. Focus your budget entirely on the GPU and cooling!!!
