What would be a good CPU to pair with the upcoming GeForce RTX 5090? I'm looking for something that can handle gaming, video editing, and possibly some machine learning tasks. Which one do you suggest?
Regarding what #3 said about "AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D." - honestly im kinda disappointed that everyone is pushing the X3D stuff for a workstation build. unfortunately ive seen too many issues with the dual-CCD scheduling and it just isnt as reliable as it needs to be for serious ML or video editing. if youre pairing this with something as expensive as an rtx 5090, you want a system that actually stays up. stick with the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-Core 5.7GHz instead. its much more stable for professional apps and wont give you those weird micro-stutters or crashes that the 3D cache models sometimes do when the OS gets confused. simple is usually better when it comes to stability.
Waiting for the upcoming flagship 9950X3D.
