What is the best universal stylus for drawing on various tablets?

Does anyone actually know a universal stylus that works for drawing on both an older iPad and a Samsung tablet without lagging like crazy?

I'm honestly so fed up with these cheap knockoffs from Amazon that claim to be universal but they're basically just glorified rubber fingers. I've wasted like eighty bucks this month alone and I'm ready to just throw my tablets out the window. I really need to finish some digital character commissions for a local craft fair this weekend and my main pen just snapped in half. Is there anything under $60 that actually has decent precision? I don't need fancy features just something that doesn't skip lines every five seconds...

Like someone mentioned, active pens are an option, but I totally disagree that they're the only way! I love the disc style because they basically never lag and they're so cheap. You definitely dont need to spend $60!

Regarding what #2 said about "active pens are an option," I totally agree that disc styles are the safest bet for mixed hardware. For a reliable budget choice, consider:

Frequent screen cleaning Just be careful with dust since it can get trapped under the disc and scratch your screen. It's way more precise than those rubber tips and wont break the bank.

You have to be careful when switching between those digitizers since the hardware is fundamentally different. I have found that active capacitive options are usually your safest bet for cross-device use.

Look for anything from Adonit

Make sure it has a powered tip I would suggest sticking with any active stylus from Adonit. They have much better precision than those generic rubber tips.
