I'm looking for something budget-friendly that can handle games like Minecraft and Roblox, as well as streaming movies. Should I go for the latest model or consider older versions? Any recommendations on storage size and protective cases would also be appreciated. Thanks!

iPad Mini is a good choice.

I’d recommend the iPad (9th or 10th gen) for a 10-year-old. They’re affordable, durable, and have enough power for games, schoolwork, and streaming. Plus, you can add a kid-friendly case to protect it from drops. The Apple Pencil support is also great for creative apps!

I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 for my niece, and it’s been perfect for Minecraft, Roblox, and streaming movies—all on a budget! The 10.5-inch screen provides a great viewing experience, and the Unisoc T618 processor handles games smoothly. I went with the 64GB version to allow for game updates and downloads, but adding a microSD card (up to 1TB) made storage worry-free.
