I finally treated myself to a new tablet, but now I’m overwhelmed by all the accessory options! I definitely need a protective case, but I'm torn between a keyboard cover or a simple folio. Also, is a screen protector essential for casual use? What are your top 3 must-have items for a brand-new setup?

Hey, congrats on the new tablet! Oh man, I feel u on the choice overload... honestly, I've tried many setups over the years and i think being a bit cautious is the way to go. For your situation, i'd probably skip the keyboard cover unless you're actually typing all day. They're heavy and basically make the tablet a laptop, which kinda defeats the point, right? Plus, they dont always protect the edges well if you drop it, so a thick folio is safer. In my experience, you highkey need a tempered glass screen protector. Even for casual use, one tiny grain of sand in ur bag will ruin that screen—I've seen it happen way too often. Ngl, it’s better to be safe than sorry. My top 3 must-haves: 1. A solid folio like the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=OtterBox+Symmetry+Series+360+Elite+Case+for+ iPad+Pro+11-inch+%284th+Generation%29&linkCode=osi&t=t=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">OtterBox Symmetry Series 360 Elite Case for iPad Pro 11-inch (4th Generation)—it’s super reliable for protection.
2. A glass protector, like the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Spigen+Glas.tR+EZ+Fit+Screen+Protector+for+ iPad+Air+11-inch+%28M2%29&linkCode=osi&t=t=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Screen Protector for iPad Air 11-inch (M2), seriously dont skip this!!
3. A quality fast charger like the Anker 735 Charger (GaNPrime 65W) because stock chargers are usually slow and sometimes unreliable. Anyway, just my two cents... gl! 👍

For your situation, glass is fragile and repairs dont come cheap. Folios are light but flimsy; Logitech Combo Touch is sturdier but bulky. Get the ZUGU Case and Paperlike 2.1. be careful!

stumbled upon this discussion today and ngl i'm literally staring at my desk right now surrounded by like five different cases i bought this week... the struggle is real lol. i always go through this every time i upgrade and it honestly hurts the wallet so much if you arent careful. i totally get the choice paralysis because i'm currently drowning in it too. like, you think you need every gadget under the sun but then you realize half of it just collects dust in a drawer. definitely be careful with those super cheap generic brands you find on random sites tho, sometimes the magnets are weird and they wont even wake your screen properly or worse, they might actually scuff the finish on your brand new tech. i would suggest sticking to something from ESR if you want to save some cash without it being total junk. just get any basic folio from them, you really cant go wrong there for the price. tl;dr: keep it simple and cheap for now so you dont waste money while youre still figuring out your workflow.
