So I just got this new iPad and Im so excited to use it for my online classes but honestly I am so confused by all the stuff you can buy for it. I tried typing my first essay on the screen and it was a total nightmare lol my fingers kept hitting the wrong letters and it took me like three hours to finish two pages. I really need a proper keyboard but I dont even know if they plug in or use bluetooth or what.

Also I need something to hold it up because leaning it against a pile of books is not working and it keeps sliding down and scaring me. I have about $100 to spend and I live in a pretty small apartment so I need something that isnt huge but is also really tough because I tend to drop things sometimes and I dont want it to break the first week.

Is there like a keyboard that is also a stand or do I buy them separate? I saw some that look like little laptops but I dont know if those are better than the ones that are just a separate piece. Sorry if these are really basic questions I just have no idea where to start looking or what brands are good. What do you guys think I should get?...

You might want to consider being careful with thin cases because they wont protect your screen if you drop it. I would suggest looking at:

Honestly, typing on glass is the worst for long essays, so you definitely need a physical setup. Since you mentioned being a bit clumsy and dropping things, the best route is a rugged keyboard case. This combines the stand and the keyboard into one unit. I have used the <a href=" https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Logitech+Rugged+Folio+for+ iPad+10th+Gen&linkCode=osi&t=t=5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Logitech Rugged Folio for iPad 10th Gen before and it is essentially indestructible because it uses military-grade protection. It connects through the Smart Connector on the side of the iPad so you dont even have to worry about charging it or using bluetooth. It just works as soon as you click it in. My main tip is to look for something with a sturdy kickstand. If you want something more flexible but still tough, you could get a separate stand like the Lamicall Adjustable Tablet Stand S1 and pair it with a portable keyboard. I personally prefer the all-in-one folio style for school because it fits better on small desks and wont slide around like those book piles you were using. If you go with the folio, it protects the screen when you toss it in your bag too. Just make sure you double check your specific iPad model number before buying because they all have slightly different sizes... it can be a real headache if you order the wrong version.
