Im losing my mind trying to figure out which stylus or keyboard actually works across different tablets. I currently have an old Galaxy Tab but my job is forcing me to switch to an iPad by next month for some stupid app compliance thing and I dont want to buy two separate setups. My budget is tight, like 100 bucks total, so I cant just go buy the official expensive stuff for every device.
I spent all last night reading reviews. People swear by the Logitech Keys-to-Go, but then I see forums saying it feels mushy and has connectivity issues with older Androids. And for styluses, I looked into those universal capacitive ones, but everyone says they lack palm rejection which makes taking notes for my classes a nightmare. Why is this so complicated? Are there any decent third-party options that dont just stop working after a week or is it literally impossible to find something that plays nice with both ecosystems? Im just tired of buying junk that ends up in my junk drawer.
Honestly, you're in a tough spot because iPad and Android ecosystems basically refuse to talk to each other. In my experience, forget the stylus for both. Just grab a Logitech Keys-To-Go Ultra-Portable Keyboard for typing since it handles Bluetooth switching okay. For note-taking, you are gonna have to compromise. Since you're forced onto an iPad, maybe look for a used Apple Pencil 1st Generation to save some cash, but dont expect it to work on your Galaxy.
Regarding what #1 said about the ecosystem divide, I totally disagree about giving up on the stylus! You just need a active pen that handles protocol switching. Check these out:
Finally someone says it. Ive been thinking this for a while but wasnt sure.
