Looking for a good headset to use with my new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. I'll primarily be using it for phone calls, listening to music while commuting, and occasional gaming. I'd prefer something wireless, preferably Bluetooth. What headsets offer the best compatibility and sound quality with the S24 FE in the $50-$150 price range? Are there any known compatibility issues I should be aware of, specifically related to Bluetooth codecs or microphone performance on the S24 FE?
^ This. Also, I totally get the frustration everyone is feeling here! I just found this thread and honestly its ridiculous how much we have to deal with just to get a headset that actually works every time. I love my new S24 FE but the whole market right now is just a total nightmare!
Re: "Hey there! For calls & tunes on the..."
Unfortunately, my $60 JLab Go Air Pops weren't as good as expected with my old S22. I had issues with calls. Maybe try the Soundcore Life P3? Seen some decent reviews, but haven't used them myself. Anyone else tried those?
Regarding the S24 FE headset, I'd suggest looking into the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC. They often get overlooked, but they support LDAC, which *should* give you a noticeable sound quality bump over SBC/AAC, assuming the S24 FE’s Bluetooth implementation is playing nice (check that!). I've been pretty happy with Soundcore products in the past; good bang for your buck.
Worth noting: some users report minor microphone quirks with *any* Bluetooth headset due to Android's voice processing, but LDAC can help. The Liberty 4 NC's spec sheet claims a frequency response of 20Hz-40kHz, which is pretty broad. You can find them for around $99 sometimes. Just curious, are you planning on using the headset primarily for calls, or music?
Hey there! For calls & tunes on the S24 FE without breaking the bank, might want to consider the Anker Soundcore Life P3. I snagged 'em for around $65 last year (down from $80!) and they're surprisingly good. Be careful focusing *only* on big names - sometimes you pay more for the brand. Make sure to check out independent reviews focusing on *microphone* quality for calls specifically. Many buds are great for music but lousy for calls, trust me I've been there. One thing to watch out for is connection stability, especially in areas with lots of interference. How important is active noise cancelling for you? That'll impact battery life and price.
