I just got this crazy PC with an RTX 4090 for my birthday but I have no idea what I'm doing. It cost so much and now I'm stuck using an old office screen that looks blurry. I really want one of those huge curved screens for flight sims but all the talk about 1440p and refresh rates is just confusing.
My budget is about $1200 and I want to buy it today. Sorry if this is a dumb question but what monitor should I actually get to make the most of this card? Which ultra-wide is actually the best one to buy?
The Alienware AW3423DWF 34-inch QD-OLED 165Hz and Samsung Odyssey G9 G95C 49-inch DQHD 240Hz are solid. OLED has better colors tho the G9 is way better for immersion. Reach out if you have questions!
> OLED has better colors tho the G9 is way better for immersion. Unfortunately, OLED burn-in is a major risk for flight sims with static cockpits. I have had issues with Samsung quality control too. I would recommend the LG 38GN950-B 38-inch UltraGear QHD+ 160Hz or the Dell Alienware AW3821DW 38-inch WQHD+ 144Hz instead. These IPS panels offer much better longevity. The 1600p resolution on these 38-inch models is also far superior for viewing flight gauges compared to standard 34-inch screens.
Gonna try this over the weekend. Will report back if it works!
