Which portable laptop stands are best for working in coffee shops?

I’ve recently started taking my work to local coffee shops a few times a week to break up the monotony of my home office. While I love the change of scenery and the caffeine boost, I’m finding that the hunched-over posture required for those tiny, low tables is really starting to kill my neck and shoulders after just an hour or two. I definitely need to invest in a portable laptop stand, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of options available online.

Since I’m usually commuting by bike or walking, portability is my absolute top priority. It needs to be lightweight enough to toss in my backpack without adding significant bulk, but sturdy enough that my 14-inch MacBook Pro doesn't wobble every time someone walks past my table. I’ve looked into the Roost and the Nexstand, but they seem a bit tall and conspicuous for some of the smaller bistro tables I encounter. I’ve also seen those slim, adhesive Moft stands, but I’m worried about whether they provide enough height or if they might lose their stickiness over time.

I always carry a separate Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, so I’m really just looking for something to get the screen closer to eye level. Does anyone have a favorite stand that strikes the perfect balance between being ultra-portable and actually stable on uneven café surfaces?

Sooo, getting your screen to eye level is key to avoiding cervical strain. After years of testing, I've found high torsional rigidity is a must so it doesnt bounce on uneven surfaces. 1. Honestly, I'm super satisfied with the MOFT Laptop Stand Adhesive Foldable for my bike commute.
2. The Rain Design mBar Pro+ Foldable Laptop Stand is *very* stable on those tiny cafe tables. peace 👍

This^ Also wanted to add, I just saw this thread and eye level is key. If ur looking for value, I’d skip adhesive and try the Nulaxy C4 Foldable Laptop Stand Aluminum Alloy. - Specs: 6 height levels for different bistro tables.
- Stability: Aluminum alloy offers better torsional rigidity so it wont wobble.
I've tried many, and this is basically the best balance for a 14-inch MBP. gl!
