Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out the most effective way to share my Amazon shopping cart with family members and friends. I often create wishlists for birthdays, holidays, or when I'm planning group purchases, but I'm wondering if there are better methods than what I'm currently doing.

Right now I usually just copy and paste individual product links into a text message or email, but this gets pretty tedious when I have multiple items. I've also tried creating Amazon wishlists, but sometimes people have trouble finding them or the items go out of stock and the list becomes outdated.

I'm particularly interested in scenarios like:

Sharing a cart of household items with my roommates so we can split the cost
Letting family members see gift ideas I've collected
Coordinating bulk purchases with friends
Has anyone found a streamlined way to do this? Are there any third-party tools or browser extensions that make cart sharing easier? Or am I missing some built-in Amazon feature that would solve this problem?

I'd love to hear what methods have worked well for you all. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Tbh I used to run into this same issue constantly when I was coordinating bulk tech buys for my old office setup. The biggest headache with just sending links or even using wishlists is that Amazon prices are so dynamic. By the time everyone in the group chat finally agrees on the total cost, the price has usually shifted or a coupon has expired. It makes sticking to a budget pretty difficult when your tryna manage group funds. One thing I discovered from a cost-efficiency standpoint is using Amazon Household for closer family or roommates. It allows for more shared management of the checkout process, though it might be overkill for casual friends. When I am doing bulk purchases with friends, I honestly find that combining a cart sharing tool with a price tracker is the only way to ensure nobody is overpaying. Their are also some collaborative list features in the mobile app now, but they still dont quite let you share a live cart for checkout. Basically, focus on methods that let you see the total price in real-time before anyone sends any money, otherwise someone always ends up short lol.

honestly using a browser extension is the way to go here. i've managed some huge tech builds for my setup using them and it beats manual links by a mile. just be a bit careful though... make sure to double check the cart after the share. sometimes these tools can get confused if a listing has ten different color or size options and they might pull the default one instead. i'd suggest doing a quick sanity check on the final list just to be 100% sure the specs are right before anyone hits buy. it's way faster but you gotta watch those variations.
